LessonGetting Started
At what age do our young riders start? It is our experience that the younger the better. Our youngest child was two, his first lesson was a training show on our Shetland Pony, Goldstone. Young children have very little fear, they adapt well and trust the pony quickly. The ponies respond to the trust and the relationship starts. We teach our children that riding a pony is secondary to respecting the pony, the first few months are devoted to building confidence and trust. Endurance Lessons The yard offers endurance training. We have many horses that are trained and kids and adults go out regularly during the week training the horses to compete in endurance Basic lessons, jumping and other disciplines The yard give lessons daily, from beginner up to intermediary, there are two arenas and big open riding space with a cross country course in the yard. We welcome Special children.
